Need some help regarding CBD eliquid in Australia. https://ift.tt/2s6HbA2

Sorry for the novel, but here goes. So recently I had a buddy who got into vaping (I showed it to him to help him quit smoking like it did for me) and in his journey into the vape world he got onto Koi, a CBD based eliquid that he bought from a shop somewhere in Brizzy (I think Aspley maybe) legally. I have no interest in it, as CBD & THC don't really mix too well with me as I've gotten older, but he was really into it.

One day, he came over and had a different one (CBD based), that he said had a different mix, and that he was getting a small buzz off of it. My wife likes her green and tried some, and said that unlike the Koi, it gave her a nice but super small little buzz that lasted about half an hour or so.

She reallly, liked it, and has just brought her first vape. She's not into nicotine though, and really just wants to get CBD based liquids. Says she likes the idea of being able to get a buzz without actually sparking up a joint and getting high. Only thing is that this guy has since moved away, we've lost all contact, and we have no idea what was in that second lot he got, or what it was called.

Can anyone recommend any good CBD liquids or recommend a place I can find out more about them and which ones you can/can't buy in Australia? This isn't really a side of vaping that I know much about, so any help is appreciated, thanks.

Vaping in an attempt to quit Nitrous Oxide addiction (N2O / Whippets) via /r/Vaping101

Vaping in an attempt to quit Nitrous Oxide addiction (N2O / Whippets) https://ift.tt/2KUziVv

Hi Everyone,
Brand new account, because reasons.

Background:

For several years now, I have been a recreational user of Nitrous Oxide (Whippets/Laughing Gas/N2O). I've tried various times to quit, and am struggling. I very rarely drink, I do not smoke cigarettes, cannabis, or other illegal drugs. For health, financial and other reasons, I am trying various methods to quit. Currently I do 100+ whippets, using a "whipped cream syphon/canister" 3 times per week. I am aware of the negative effects of doing this, and do not recommend it to others. Right now, I am "titrating" my dose downward (it used to be a greater amount, more times per week), but am definitely struggling. I have quit alcohol, "harder substances", and cigarettes before without much of a problem. Some people call Nitrous Oxide "Hippie Crack", and I know why. Although not physically addictive, it is definitely psychologically addictive. I have been getting the help of a psychologist, but am making little progress…

My idea:
To attempt to use vaping as a substitute for Nitrous Oxide. Several years ago, I tried vaping before out of curiosity. I had a couple of "pen" vape machines, which I found amusing for a couple of weeks, before getting bored with them. I am wondering if a more "powerful" or "modern" set up might help me. I realise that "vaping" is not going to be as "fun" as doing nitrous oxide, but it might help me wean myself off. Even if it helps reduce my intake, that's worth doing.

My ideal requirements:
I'm after a vape setup that can handle as many of the following as possible. If any of you have used Nitrous Oxide before, you'll be familiar with the following.

  • Cold temperature. Nitrous Oxide is a cold gas when inhaled. This might not be possible, but maybe a "menthol" flavour will help.
  • Pressurized. Nitrous Oxide is released with some pressure behind it. Think of a spray can.
  • No specific flavour. Nitrous Oxide has a mild, sweet taste. I don't think this is much of a factor.
  • "Inhale into lungs, not into cheeks". I inhale nitrous oxide directly into my lungs. When I smoked cigarettes I used to draw the smoke into my mouth, then mix it with air as I inhaled.
  • Cost – not much of problem. I waste too much money on Nitrous Oxide. I'm happy to spend, say USD$200 (AUD$300) on this experiment, even if it's a complete failure. (Note, I live in Australia. I can order online locally or overseas. The major city in which I live has a few "vape shops" that I could go to in person).

I realize that the above requirements may not be technically possible, but given my goal, maybe I could get close.

What I'd like from the community is some recommendations as to specific setups, gear types, juices etc.

In return, I plan to maintain this account, as it may help others with a similar problem to my own.

Thank you in advance. And remember to take your Vitamin-B12.
