Problems with wicking Coilart Mage RTA https://ift.tt/2OoEKl5

So, I’ve been vaping a year and a half. A few months ago, I bought an RTA. The Coilart Mage. It was cheap, but I heard good reviews about it. I’ve had hits and misses with it and so I shelved it. Well, I recently had the random initiative to coil it, wick it, and try to vape it. It worked for a while, but again, I did something wrong. I thinned out the wicks a whole lot, and so I’ve gotten the wicking down… but for some reason, after vaping a while on 55-65 Watts, I get a burnt taste. So I set it down and let it sit for a minute, and vape it again and it tastes fine but after 3 or 4 toots, it tastes burnt again. What am I doing wrong? Maybe too high wattage? Am I suffocating my coils or something? Airflow is wide open.
