Kylin RTA dry hits/burnt cotton issue solution! https://ift.tt/2MzCZRL

For those who are googling like mad on how to get the most out of their Kylin and struggling like I've seen many other users do with dry hits/burnt cotton I've found a solution.

First of all some people are basically wicking so light it leaks and then wicking heavier and getting dry hits after a few pulls. Like there's no "sweet spot" for the Kylin. I watched a wicking tutorial (The wicking guys tutorial) and the guys STUFFS this thing with cotton and all I could think was "Oh good luck buddy." as I had burnt hits at half as much as he used.

LO AND BEHOLD, the dude cranks this fucker up to 120 watts and pulls it hard 3 times. That's when I realized my problem.

I'm using SS316L with two 3mm inner diameter coils and 6-7 wraps getting me about 0.17 ohms. The issue with this low resistance is that on lower wattage only the center of the coil is heating up and the whole coil isn't heating up fast enough to vape the juice out of the wick properly. So if you pull for over a few seconds you're getting dry hits from the core of the wick al 30-60 watts.

SOLUTION: Crank your wattage up on low resistance coils. I use Stainless steel because of it's fast ramp up/cool time (Doesn't keep vaping after I let the button go like kanthal seems to.) I've found 80-95w my sweet spot. I get nice big hits and the best direct to lung flavor I've ever gotten out of a tank. The Kylin beat out my 4 other tanks for flavor with these settings. The trick is to wick with a nce fluffy core (I use the scottish roll technique with cotton pads) and making sure those juice wells are BLOCKED at the top. Any juice gets around those and you'll get a nice super hot vape juice on the tongue surprise. I pull for about 1-2 seconds HARD like almost gasping hard on the airflow. I've found if you let it cook without good airflow it gets burnt FAST. Nice solid wick + high wattage + Really hard/fast inhale and it's lungs full of flavor

Hopefully this helps anyone who's been struggling with this tank because I was ready to right it off like my pharoh mini (Inherent base leak issue manufacturing flaw) and my Merlin (Vacuum issue causing bad wicking) But it's quickly become my favorite tank and I'll probably pick up another.

I feel like reddit might be full of fake advocacy for vape shit. I see posts like "I love my _______ best tank/mod Ive ever had." only to find there's huge flaws in design with some products and issues. So here's an actual honest opinion: The Kylin RTA is the best direct to lung vape for flavor and cloud production I've used. But it took me awhile to figure out it's kinks. So if you got one, try these settings and hopefully you can get the bang out of it that I've finally got.
