Thank you guys. I am finally quit both cigs and vaping. https://ift.tt/2Ou1h05

I just want to thanks everyone here for helping me quit both cigarettes and vaping completely. Without all the information on this subreddit I would still be a pack a day smoker.

I hope my experience will be helpful to others who are trying to quit cigarettes. I have been smoking for more than 10 years. 8 months ago I was still a pack a day smoker, tried switching to vaping before but was never able to stick to it. Then I made a post here on the forums 8 month ago about trying to switch to vaping again. Someone recommended switching to nic salt or juul. I live in Hong Kong where nicotine juices are banned but thanks to the folks at diy_classiified (banned now) they were able to make some nic salt juice and ship me some.

I ordered 12mg/ml nic salt juices and used it with mtl kayfun prime tank (clone). Nothing beats a kayfun style when it comes to replicating the analog feel. Smoking the nic salt was a completely different feel than freebase juice. I was able to get that light headed feel a bit similar to that of analogs. I was able to increase the light-headedness by smoking sitting down and getting up quickly so all my blood is drain from my head.

I didn't quit smoking  analogs instantly but over the course of one week. First day I would have three analogs a day and over the course of a week, I slowly cut down to zero. The withdrawal came around 5-6 days after I quit the last analog. It was like a flu and it lasted for around 2 days after that everything was fine again. I don't know what it is they put in analogs but the withdrawals were really bad and it not from the nicotine. The craving during that time was minimal and vaping suppressed it easily.

After becoming a full time vaper, I continued to vape until last month. Last month we had to take my kid to visit the in laws. I accidently didn't bring enough juice to Korea. I ran out of juice 3rd week and I was getting cravings but the cravings were very mild compared to analogs. Korea don't sell any nic salt juice yet so I decided to just buy some zero nicotine juice for the habitual addiction. Within two week I become completely off vaping. The nicotine withdrawal is so mild compared to analog withdrawals, it was extremely easy to overcome with just vaping zero nicotine. However, I noticed I need to carry my mod with me when I go drink. We do stupid things when we are drunk I rather vape zero nice juice than going back to smoking cigarettes.

Currently, I am in Korea getting my teeth fixed from the years of damage from smoking cigarettes.  I haven’t gone to a density since freshman year of high school and now I am paying the price. Two root canals, one decayed tooth to be implanted with bone graft, gum graft and 12 cavities. The whole thing is going take a month and costing me an arm and a leg.

Once again I would like to thank this community in helping me quit, without you guys’ support and info. I would have never been able to.  I know this is a long post I just hope this will help someone trying to quit like the many threads that has helped me.
