Quitting Vaping https://ift.tt/2NSEy16

So, I first came across vaping in 2010. I gave it a shot and it was awful. Fast forward to 2013 & it was becoming more mainstream. I invested in a decent kit and managed to stop smoking completely. I think it’s fair to add that I had smoked for 5 years before I started to full time vape. Fast forward 5 years and here I am, going through the process of nicotine withdrawals once again.

I think it’s fair to say, over the years I completely fell in love with vaping. It brought me new friends, it was far more interesting than smoking, and it gave me a sense of calm in my battle against anxiety.

With that being said, the end goal was always to completely give up and so I did – 5 days ago.

It’s not been easy, and I’ll admit I have reached for nicotine gum a few times, but for the first time in 10 years, my asthmatic lungs are getting fresh air and honestly, I’m already wondering why I didn’t do it sooner.

Whatever research comes out in the future, I cannot say a bad thing about my experiences with vaping. I honestly believe it will save millions of lives in the long run and the sooner it’s regulated and researched and improved – the better.

This is my first post on Reddit. If anyone has any tips that helped them overcome vaping, or if your thinking about quitting – share your experiences and let me know what helped.

Thanks!
