HVAC for B&M https://ift.tt/2CFvNlP

Hello all,

I plan on opening a shop in a couple of months and have searched online, but couldn't quite get a good answer. So I figured I'd reach out here to see if any shop owners are available to help.

Basically I have a 750sq ft space, 4-500 of it will be used for retail/customers and the rest will be office/inventory space.

There is an HVAC already in place, with the unit in the basement. I am not sure how big it is but there are 6 ceiling vents and a 2'x4' intake duct in the wall.

The town fire marshall has said another shop had to install a 40000$ air system to handle the "smoke"

I do not have 40000$

I have maybe 5000$ to throw at this of my own savings and that's all of it, I was naive and didn't take into account things like this when I applied for financing

So my question to any shop owners is how do you handle your HVAC, and are there any solutions to do this for less. I have looked at a manual exhaust fans but I understand I need to keep a certain level of pressure in the building. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!
