Mt Baker Vapor and a story from a retailer etc… https://ift.tt/2Dw797r

I was pm'd by a b&m owner who deals with them, and in light of what happened with Hells Kitchen Vapor and whatnot, really didn't wanna post under his own user name due to possible blowback…

none of this is probably surprising to anyone, but as we know, and as I have said, I do respect the fact that they were one of the pioneers of price adjustment on the cost of juice especially when subohming became the thing, and 30mL's weren't lasting like they used to etc.. but obviously since the OG owner sold it off a few years ago (good time to get out mate), the name and quality and everything else has been driven kinda into the ground.

But this was the pm I received and said I would post to show from a retailers perspective of what they are dealing with them, and it's a been a long time since I've seen a user here advocate for them over the far better options we have, but kinda an interesting read:

"Hey, little bit of info on MBV and how bad they actually are. (redacted)… I just figured I'd get the info over to you as I saw you post about asking in the daily chat thread.

We sell it in our shop. Had it here for almost 5 years now. It's a good budget line for new vapers or people needing a small bottle until payday or so (We only carry 30ml bottles from them, everything else in the store is 60ml or more). The sad truth is these issues extend even into their wholesale business.

We have been through 7 account reps with them, 4 of them are because they fired the entire wholesale department and rehired new people and 1 because they fired all of the production department and out the VP of Sales as our account rep after switching all of the wholesale reps to production.

The shit show really started when they moved to Arizona from Washington due to some tax laws put into place. They constantly change the size we are allowed to order, 5 packs, singles, 10 packs ect… from order to order, They have also been changing their flavoring bases completely without alerting wholesale and retail customers, They cut out and re-introduce nicotine strengths for certain flavors on random whims (Sometimes they sent out an email that they are no longer making 0mg, or that they are now making 0mg again, Or they are stopping 12 and 18mg on all flavors but tobacco or that you can now order all flavors in 12 and 18mg again), They consistently mis-label product due to the high turnover and mass firing of entire departments, We have had at minimum 5 orders of Menthol (20-50 bottles each time) Be filled with peach and 2 orders of Green Apple filled with peppermint, the problem being it continues to happen to the same flavors with the same mistakes. Thousands of dollars a month of mistakes that we are lucky for them to fix in the slightest. No offer of store credit no offer to resend the bad product. Im currently sitting on 75 bottles of USA Menthol Tobacco instead of Menthol. Their response was " I mean they are both a tobacco and menthol flavor so your customers should not notice much of a difference. Just sell through it and well give you 5 cents off per bottle on your next order ". We would 100% cut them out as soon as possible, but finding another company with that many flavors in small bottles at a low price is hard, and the area we are in is very destitute, without a budget line like this alot of our customers would stick with cigarettes and not make the switch. Month to Month we take a loss for carrying MBV in the store due to faulty product, product never shipping, and failure on their end to rectify the issue but we do manage to keep a couple hundred people vaping and off of cigs."

"I want to stop people from smoking and that is the only reason we even carry MBV still in the store and deal with their BS (We lose money every month on their product and their issues), But I have customers that will only use their flavors.

If I can't get them in they go back to smoking, and It pains me to see that.

If even one person sees the info about them and stays away from them that is a bonus in my eyes because I see only 3 courses of action with someone buying juice from them. 1. they hate it all (because the quality has slipped so far) They stop vaping and go back to smokes. 2. They Love it and when they cannot get it anymore they say fuck it and jump back to smoking again, or 3. They look for a different vendor and try something new. From my experience new Vapers do not really try option 3, and either 1 or 2 stops them with a bad company :/. We actively recommend people away from MBV at the shop, and only keep it for the regular customers (sadly about 1/3rd of the customer base)."

so yeah, i get it, and there is a reason why once i discovered ECR i was introduced to so many different companies that far far exceeded what MBV was , and hell, with better prices and interaction here and whatnot…

so just dropping this as a courtesy to a user who pm'd me about it, and it seems their problems are kinda piling up. Not a newsflash obviously to anyone who frequents this sub… but i can imagine anyone's first attempt at diy is gonna be better then their stuff..

be well…
