Almost a year cigarette-free: a 2018 retrospective https://ift.tt/2zNIwjb

So I made a post here or on a related subreddit that I would make a post when I will reach my 1 year milestone (February 2nd), but the end of the year makes more sense to be honest. I have been cigarette free for 10 months now and not planning to go back. I'd like to go through some devices and people that got me through the year. So thank you to:

  1. Digiflavor Siren 2 – the one that got me off the smokes for good. After learning how it's built and how it ticks, I decided to have my last cigarette on February 1st at 11:54 PM and start the next day with the Siren 2 and some great 6mg blueberry juice. The first day was more or less tough, I had to go outside every 40 minutes at work to satisfy my craving. But it was manageable, after day 2 it got really easy. The Siren 2 offers a good balance of throat hit and flavor and it's still my main device today for MTL vaping.
  2. Oumier Wasp – my first real RDA experience and an unforgetable one. LI is great for me in the evening when I just want to relax with some video games and puff some delicious clouds. It's an extremely simple, but very powerful and flavorful atty that even today works like brand new. And looks like it too.
  3. Voopoo Drag – the meme itself. 14 months of performance and not a single hiccup.
  4. Gbox Squonker Mod – when I got the Wasp I knew I had to get a squonker, the flavor was just too good to keep fiddling with juice bottles and drip. It's regulated, dual-battery and kinda pretty – everything you need in a squonker. Sexier mods are now on the market, but back then this was one of the regulated pioneers. Still using it today.
  5. Cotton Bacon – my favorite cotton.
  6. Mike Vapes, Jai Haze, Vaping with Vic, Dash Vapes, Suck my Mod – great reviews, tutorials or vape-related videos. I've ommited some of the big names. Because I don't enjoy them that much. But hey, that's me.

Honorable mentions:

  • Berserker mini MTL RTA for flavor, but not so much for leaking problems
  • Charon Mini – cute mod, has that nice color screen
  • Recurve RDA – worthy oppponent of the Wasp, but need to use it more-
  • Ammit MTL RTA – fantastic atty, but still in my "testing" phase

For those still at the beginning or still in doubt – it gets easier every day. Cigarettes no longer tempt me, even when drinking alcohol or coffee. Vaping is becoming more and more popular and we should be happy. Happy holidays everyone!
