Nicotine Salts vs Freebase Nicotine Advice? https://ift.tt/3bqhui5

Hey all,

Long story short, I switched from analogs to Juul back in September 2018. Juul was HUGE in me quitting, probably never would have otherwise. After about a year on Juul, I switched to Vuse Alto and have been going that route for about 6 months. I buy 5% concentrations for both Juul and Vuse, I tried going 2.4% but just used it up twice as fast. I go through about 1ml of 5% salts a day and spend about $30/wk on average.

I live in Massachusetts and for the past few months, it has been a major pain in the ass for me to get pods. I have been driving 45-60 minutes round trip once every 1 or 2 weeks to stock up on carts. Currently, I am working from home due to COVID. I told myself this would be a good time to quit vaping altogether. Over the past month or two, I started developing a really concerning arrhythmia. They're kind of like palpitations that just go on all day long. When I try falling asleep at night, sometimes it causes me to jump out of bed because it feels like my heart is stopping, right as I'm about to drift off. On top of that, (and idk if this has any foundation in reality) I started getting pretty serious backne, started developing facial acne, and my skin's been breaking out in dermatitis. This has been going on since I switched to Juul, and I honestly can't remember if it was a thing before that. I've always had some type of eczema/acne, but my theory is that the salts exacerbate it.

As of writing, I haven't had a hit in exactly 30 hours. I've already noticed fewer palpitations today. The palpitations were a big reason for me to want to quit besides the money factor and skin issues. My question is: has anybody transitioned from salts to freebase and felt better for it either in the lungs, heart, skin or wallet? I have no idea where to begin in switching since MA is a nanny state and everything is taxed to hell and back. I would most likely drive all the way to either CT or RI, but also with most states closing all non-essential business due to COVID idk what my options are. To my knowledge, I wouldn't be able to order a mod or juice online still.

TL;DR I want to quit vaping, but am thinking about maybe just switching from salts to freebase and see if I like that better (might just be my addiction talking)
