Steam Crave Glaz Mini RTA: A Review https://ift.tt/2ycX8dZ

INTRO

Well… this is a big one. We have been reviewing pods for MONTHS straight. I am getting a little tired of it only because they are so boring to review being all so similar to each other. I love MTL vaping. I think it definitely serves as much of a purpose as cloud chucking DL vaping. This particular RTA is an MTL vape. I am excited to explain to you all how the deck works and how it performs! MTL RTAs are exceptionally better than pods based on the rebuildable factor and the flavor area. We have plenty of AIOs that have RBAs now which is DOPE so even if the RTA isn’t for you there are still rebuildable options. Well! I am very excited to break this atomizer down and tell you all about it so let’s get started.

Disclaimer for transparency: this product was sent to me from Steam Crave for the purpose of this review but that does not change my opinion on the product

PACKAGING

Inside the box of the Glaz Mini you get a user manual, extra glass chamber, extra glass for the tank, your 5ml extension tube and a bag with o rings and a screwdriver. The RTA comes standard in 2ml mode in the box. They sent me the black version but I know it also comes in stainless steel and gunmetal.

Here are some images of the RTA and deck I had found because my phone camera is unfortunately not working currently:

BUILDING AND WICKING

The build deck inside of this RTA is very easy to build on and wick up. There are 2 posts on the opposite sides and honeycomb airflow on the bottom in between them. The screws on the posts are big enough so that you can trap your leads not matter which way they are wrapped so that’s a plus. So you insert your MTL coil under the screws and tighten em down. You want to get your coil as close to the airflow on the bottom as possible and it’s quite easy to do. I have fit coils up to 3mm in this RTA so I don’t think you’ll have a problem at all getting that MTL vape you really want. Currently I’m running a 2.8mm MTL clapton reading at 1.5ohms.

Wicking is very very easy on this RTA. You slip your cotton through the coil, make sure it’s not giving ya too much trouble. The deck is actually raised up a little bit to make it easier for you to measure the ends of your cotton. You just cut along the edge of the bottom and you have the perfect length. Then you just stuff it down into the cotton wells which are nice and kidney shaped. I don’t comb out my cotton on this RTA only because there really isn’t a need for it with a single coil. You’re not really mashing too much cotton down into the wells so yeah, thinning out isn’t necessary. Put some liquid on ya coil and prime it up and we are ready to put it back together.

ASSEMBLY

The assembly of this RTA is unique. You have a glass chamber (which is great because your leads don’t short if you don’t cut them enough) clamped together by the barrel of the tank. It’s very strange. Once you unscrew the top and bottom it all comes apart for easy cleaning. So, put your glass barrel inside, screw on the top and bottom. Then you get your build deck and carefully put it into the glass chamber and screw it onto the bottom piece of the tank. The coolest part about this RTA is that you are able to see your build deck inside with your cotton and posts. The top fill ports are smaller than I would prefer. I do sometimes get liquid looking up around where there is no air to escape. Filling is sort of a slow process but that’s okay. As you screw on the top cap I have to point out how incredibly smooth the threads are on this RTA. Everything is buttery smooth, the machining is great. The drip tip is a perfect tip for MTL vaping in my opinion. The black delrin looks great and is very comfortable. You are ready to vape at this point so let’s talk performance!

OVERAL PERFORMANCE

You know, I have not had a single thing go wrong with this RTA. Maybe a little bit of popping and tiny spit back but I believe that would be me and my wicking needing timing. So with that in mind let’s talk about flavor. Very saturated, very warm and noteful. The more restricted you get with the airflow the more the flavor increases. It’s got really really good flavor.

There are 4 different airflow options. I want a really restricted pull so I use it on the smallest one cut down about half way. Very very tight. The most open one is not really enough to do a RDL but it does give a more open MTL. I love the airflow on this atomizer. It feels really good, and is very customizable.

I haven’t had any problems with flooding or leaking. 2ml seems to last me a full day, the 5ml lasts me 2 days. The flavor drop off with the extension isn’t bad at all surprisingly. All of the O rings seem to be holding up very well. Overall have been very happy with the performance of this atty. I’m sorry I am gushing.

FINAL PROS

• Flavor is great • 5ml extension included • Extra glass chamber and barrel • Easy to build • Forgiving on the wicking • Looks great • Draw is great • Can see your build deck inside that’s pretty cool • Multiple airflow options • Comfortable drip tip

FINAL CONS

• Fill holes could have been a little bit bigger • Quick release or slide top fill would have been nice • 5ml extension kinda looks ugly in my opinion

OUTRO

I really enjoyed this review. I really enjoy this RTA. I have been using non stop since receiving it and yeah, it’s definitely going into the honorable mentions. Pod systems are all of the rage right now. AIOs and such. RBAs are really awesome for these but nothing beats the flavor and cost effectiveness of an RTA. If you are reading this and are strictly an AIO or pod system user. I encourage you to try your hand at rebuildables. Whether it’s an RTA or an RBA, try it out. Guarantee it’ll save you money and it will be more rewarding in a lot of ways. If anyone has any questions I’ll try my best to answer.

Thank you for reading! Any feedback or questions are always welcome. Thank you so much for Steam Crave for sending this out to me. I have more devices on the way. Until next time!
