Let’s hear your worst Vape Shop experiences https://ift.tt/32mMWMF

It was about five years ago. I was in a financial slump when my beloved Joyetech eGrip OLED CL unfortunately and inexplicably died on me.

That JT eGrip generation was being phased out and I didn’t have enough money to purchase the newer, higher priced model. I asked the sales rep at my local shop to sell me a cheap, bullet-proof vape to tide me over for a few weeks till I had enough cash saved up for something decent to replace it.

He suggested a Joyetech AIO for around $30 bucks, saying it was a solid deal.

Once home, I soon realized that the coils burned out after a few puffs due to the wonky, erratic electronics. The unit would suddenly and without forewarning ramp up the wattage to such an insane degree that it toasted the coils.

I took it back to the shop, and got a replacement coil, with the issue being excused as a bad production series.

Once home, the new coil nevertheless burned out again after a few puffs. When I took it back to the shop yet again, the flustered salesman told me it was my own fault for purchasing such a cheap product in the first place and refused to refund the sale.

Needless to say, I never returned to the store.

A few years later the shop was sold to a new chain. Fortunately, the new store’s personnel and refund policy have since remarkably improved.

Looking back, the worst part of the story wasn’t the wasted money, but being treated like an idiot by sales reps who not only disguised the fact that they’d sold me a shoddy product, but also dismissed my complaints as coming from an inexperienced user mishandling what essentially turned out to be an extremely faulty product.
