Vapefly Holic – Loose negative post screw can be fixed! https://ift.tt/2RovUqZ

The issue I'm talking about is explained here and here and it happened to my holic the other day. I was convinced there should be a way to fix it. After all Vapefly must have been able to tighten that screw up somehow, right?

So looking at the base I was pretty certain the thin groove around the outside just below the air inlet holes was a seam where the top and bottom pieces mated with a press fit. And that's exactly how it goes together. It was possible to separate the two parts by first putting an old pocket knife in the groove and tapping it with a mallet, until the groove opened up enough to insert ever-larger flat head screwdrivers. It finally come completely apart once the gap was big enough to fit a cold chisel and give it a couple of taps.

It's back together now and didn't get warped/dented in dismantling – the cap fits and rotates perfect.

Anyway, I wanted to ask what others think about putting some food safe threadlocker on that damn screw? I know loctite make some because people use it in espresso machines etc.
