Question Regarding Mechanical Mod Maintenance https://ift.tt/2RmrO2J

So I am currently waiting on my mech mod to arrive and I have been doing research to get myself prepared to use it one day. I think I have a better understanding of ohm's law as well as calculating the watts I'll be getting. I am planning on using a .4 ohm coil which would give me around 44 watts on a fully charged battery, around 10.5 amps using a 21700 30T battery. I also will use the Citadel RDA.

One of my main concerns is caring for the mechanical mod. Specifically I am waiting on my Avalanche to arrive, so I have the copper plate and 510 to clean right? Would I need to disassemble the mod including the 510 to clean it properly? I have tried my best to gather information but I'm unsure if you need to take apart the 510 completely to clean the threads and whatnot. Any advice regarding battery arching is appreciated as well.

Another question I have is most say that you feel the battery becoming weaker as you use it on a mechanical mod which gives the indicator its time to swap out and charge because you produce less vapor. But I have noticed that when I vape I don't generally produce a lot of vapor to begin with? I am using my regulated in Bypass to get a feel for mechs and this holds true.

I know when I would swap out a battery on paper but because I never used one in a mech I'm not sure what it would feel like. Id like to maintain it as I further educate myself on safety before I use it.

Thanks!
