Single Flavor notes 09.15.2020 https://ift.tt/3kikbXr

Tonight, I tested some flavors I don’t use much, and to get into the habit. It’s something I should do way more of, but I had a lot of trouble getting anything out of the fruits this evening.

Single Flavor Notes:

Tests completed at 3mg Nic on Asmodus Bunker RDA at .21 ohms / 56 watts.

  • Forest fruits- FA: Day One: Maybe I messed something up because it’s not the rich, full flavor I’ve heard described.

1% light back note. Dark fruity.

3% Muted and kind of bland

5% meh?

6% vegetable note? Fruity but still mute.

7-10% dark fruit. Mild hint of sweet. No tartness. Good.

  • Vanilla Cupcake- Capella: Day one: Needs a steep most likely. Not much happening. 1% hint of vanilla, slight touch of bakery. Muted, hint of spice?

3% more vanilla, yellow color comes to mind, angel food cakey bakery note. Thicker mouthfeel.

4% I’m not tasting much. Vanilla aftertaste is pleasant but mild. Nose on the bottle is amazingly delicious smelling.

5% much more present, but kind of one dimensional. The vanilla needs bolstering to make it a prominent note (vanilla swirl maybe) and the bakery note falls a bit flat here.

  • Blueberry Jam – WF: Day One: needs something, maybe just mixing with something else, but it’s good! 1% Pleasant! No jam, but a little pop of crisp, sweet blueberry.

2% Needs sweetener to pop the jammy thing off, but pleasant, mild blueberry. The jam element is definitely there.

4% There it is, a high middle to front note of blueberry jam. Needs sweetener at .5-1%. (Added 1% sweetener, and it’s good. Preferred mix percentage at 3-3.5% and add sweetener. Maybe needs another blueberry to round out profile. Edit: Added 1% Blueberry(Extra) and it’s pretty good).

  • Sweet Tobacco- Purilum 1% Wow. Holy shit, flavor. Sweet nuttiness is present. Tobacco not so much. This flavor is great already.

2% Excellent. Tobacco kind of coming through, but more a sweet richness under the nuttiness. Needs mixing with other tobaccos.

3% It got better. Lacking in tobacco, but Jesus I can’t believe how good this flavor is. Nutty, almost creamy, sweet hint of tobacco. Needs creams and tobaccos for a dessert tobacco recipe ASAP.

4% Too much? Losing some of that punch. It’s all mostly there?

  • Golden Pineapple – Cappela 1% nothing really happening. Hint of it maybe? Mostly oily VG flavor.

3% more pineapple, but mostly just VG and vague tropical mist of flavor in the background. 5% still can’t really taste it. I think I’ve gone fruit blind tonight. Jesus that’s frustrating. Like it’s kinda there, but eh? Just that same oily, vaguely sweet VG flavor going on with a hint of pineapple. Like the vaping equivalent of a still LaCroix. Disappointed really.

6 or 7% added three more drops, and still the same story. Added 4 drops TFA Pineapple and hello! Something is happening! It’s actually pineapple! Added 4 more drops and it became a little weird. It’s pineapple, but it’s not as pleasant. Looking to lemon Sicily to add what I’m after here.
