Single Flavor Testing [SFTs] of Flavor Concentrates https://ift.tt/31e8jyy

Week 80

Hello to all new DIY'ers, experienced and novice alike. As most of us have discovered, it makes sense to taste-test flavors by themselves to find out what range (percentage) we need to use them. Some people can pick up on those flavors better than others, so they are able to use less than average. Others have to bump it higher. Also… whether you are vaping in a direct-lung fashion or mouth-to-lung one, you may need to vary your usage slightly. This mostly applies to when you're using low vapor production from particular pod systems or all-in-ones (AIOs) which require stronger flavor representation.

Also… to mix things up a bit, maybe make mention of other flavors you'd SFT'd that would combine well with another solo trial. I'd noticed TFA Turkish can use a boost/bend from TFA Acai or FW Blood Orange. Or another instance maybe you like a lil caramel in your banana nut bread vape and you think of a particular stand-out.

The format for your SFT results are pretty simple. Mention the vendor, the flavor, what percentage and then maybe steep times. You can pronounce it a good or bad representation of it's name. And you can mention what sublime flavor notes you're detecting. Plus the off-notes of course that we need to know about in advance.

EXAMPLE (from Week 1 by /u/AstronauttiX):

FA Glory at 2%, actually prefer to mix the Glory as a standalone instead of using it in recipes. I like to steep it for about a week. I find it to be a nice nutty flavour that isn't too sweet and has some throat hit too.
