Is there any additive to substitute nicotine once you get to 0mg? https://ift.tt/35mYFwk

TL;DR – I'm vaping 0mg nicotine juice and find it lacking the flavor intensity of the same juice in 3mg nicotine. Is there an additive that I can use to mimic the flavor effects of nicotine, without the addictive aspects?

I vaped for around five years after smoking/dipping for about ten years. Last spring, I finally kicked my nicotine addiction and have neither smoked, dipped, used nicotine gum/lozenges/patches, or vaped at all until this week.

Over the past few weeks, I got really nostalgic for vaping, specifically. Not nicotine, but just the incredibly satisfying feeling of inhaling and exhaling really nice, dense, flavored vapor.

I got 60ml of the first juice I tried back in 2015 in 0mg, a good dual battery mod, charged my batteries, set up my old Kennedy RDA with dual claptons, primed, took a hit and… was sorta disappointed.

I was expecting that there'd be no throat hit, but I wasn't expecting the flavor to be so much more muted than it is at even just 3mg nicotine. This was an issue that I experienced when I first started vaping and moved from 24-36mg juice down to 3mg juice.

Over the years, I've tried vaping 0mg part time, as well as mixing 0mg with 3mg juice. I've always noticed a reduction in flavor intensity with reduced nicotine content. Conversely, I've vaped nic salts, and found that some of my favorite 3mg juices presented very odd new subflavors in their nic salt format. So I take it that nicotine has a pretty substantial effect on juice flavor.

Is there anything that I could add to my juice(s) to bring out flavor the way that even a tiny bit of nicotine does? If I can get a tiny throat hit, as well, I definitely wouldn't complain.

I know that an obvious answer is, well, nicotine. But, I spent half my life being addicted to it, so I definitely know any nicotine is a hard no from me.
