Vaporesso Luxe PM40: A Review https://ift.tt/379zyhm

INTRO

What’s up everybody? It’s been a while! Sorry about that, but we are BACK. I know I complain a lot about pod systems in my reviews but I think it’s finally starting to come back full circle to just having regular mod and tank configuration. Almost. Until then! We have to live with what we have. This PM(PodMod) is an AIO, it has cool designs, features and cool coils. Let’s get started.

Disclaimer for transparency: This product was sent to me from Vaporesso for the purpose of this review but that does not change my opinion on the product.

PACKAGING AND ASSEMBLY

The packing for the kit is fairly simple actually. They give you 2 4ml pods, your 1800mah Battery that charges via USB C and goes up to 40 watts, your charging cable, extra GTX coils and your paper work. It’s packaged quite nicely and they do give very good instructions on how to use this product. It’s kinda strange there aren’t any wattage up and down buttons the way you change the wattage is through the power button. The batter has a small LED screen on the side letting you know your resistance, wattage, batter life, etc.

The pod comes with the coil in automatically like usual so setting this thing up to get vaping is actually pretty simple. To open the pod up the black top comes off revealing a fill up hole with a black membrane on it. It is leak resistant so you don’t have to worry about making too much of a mess. Snap on the black part, insert the pod into the battery and the smart detect will automatically adjust the power for you so you can Vape right away (or as soon as your coil is done priming). It is a very compact package with some pretty decent battery life and coils so let’s talk about performance.

OVERALL PERFORMANCE

This AIO uses Vaporesso’s GTX coils that we have seen in their other PMs such as the Target Series. These coils have always been a problem for me. They either spit back, don’t have very good flavor or leak everywhere. Surprisingly enough I have nothing but good news for this AIO. The flavor is great, I don’t know what they changed up but it is different. A lot more saturated and satisfying. NO LEAKING! They finally fixed this. Both of my Target PM review modes were plagued with leaky coils and it even ruined one of them rendering it useless. Vaporesso made it a point to stop this from happening and indeed it does.

A lot of these products are coming out with special and unique qualities but I’m actually pretty happy to say that this pod mod is very simple and easy to use. It’s got the Axon chipset from the Gen Series and it shows! The power draw is nice and full. It doesn’t take any ramp up time for these coils to go. One thing I will point out was they like to advertise “adjustable” airflow on these but I didn’t feel a difference when moving the slider. The draw is open, very much a RDL and I couldn’t get it to be any tighter unfortunately. The battery life is very decent at 1800mah only having to charge once a day and at 4ml the pods lasted me a good while as I was using SaltNic. Very satisfied.

FINAL PROS

• 1800mah battery is good • GTX coils don’t leak anymore • 4ml capacity is good • Ease of use (smart detection is awesome) • Aesthetic design • Good flavor on the coils • Compact • USB C charging

FINAL CONS

• Airflow slider feels like a gimmick • Battery could’ve been slightly better for the size • Would like an easier way to adjust wattage

OUTRO

AIOs are a dime a dozen nowadays. But this one is not bad at all. The Axon chip, GTX coil combination with a small form factor is sick. I really enjoyed using this device and I do recommend it to people who enjoy AIOs. I’m not sure if the GTX RBA section will work with this but I will definitely ask and try it. If it does well then we might have a game changer on our hands.

Thank you so much for reading! Thank you to Vaporesso for sending this out to me. I’m sorry it’s been a while since I’ve written one of these but really assured I have 2 more reviews scheduled out through this weekend. Hope everyone is staying safe!
