CA SB793 Flavor Ban Referendum Update https://ift.tt/2LyoqlA
Last week CA Attorney General Becerra agreed to suspend SB793's flavor ban in the light of our signatures and to avoid the litigation hearing that was set for 17th. CA's flavor ban will be suspended until failure to qualify OR voters approve it in Nov 2022's election.
Of course, signatures still require validation and todays random sample updates are looking rather good. Validity so far, on average, is 74.26% with 11 out of 58 counties reporting.
For those interested in the math, the percentage of random sample validity at approx. 75%, if it keeps around that figure, as applied to 1,023,529 signatures would indicate a total valid count of 767,646. The minimum required is 623,212 and qualification at 110% would need 685,534. At this point it certainly looks like things are going to qualify.
