[Review] Vaporesso Forz RDA https://ift.tt/3mkTFgQ

Vaporesso Forz RDA

Vaporesso sent me this RDA for review. I got the black version but there's also a stainless one. UPS gave me a terrible time getting it though. Long story short, I ended up having to drive an hour to their place and pay $25 for it. I can't stand UPS. Their policies are ridiculous.

.

A lot of people say this RDA is just like the Dead Rabbit version 2. I've never used anything from the Dead Rabbit line. Reading online, I see lots of fans of their stuff. I could tell right away, that it was Dead Rabbit-esque. The raised posts, high airflow slots… After looking at pictures of the DR V2, yeah I can see the similarities.

.

It's a 24mm wide RDA. It's 37.3mm tall, including the installed drip tip.

What's included

.

  • 1 × VAPORESSO FORZ RDA

  • 2 × Coil

  • 4 × Screw

  • 1 × Squonk BF Pin

  • 1 × 501 drip tip Adapter

  • 1 × Extra 810 Drip Tip

  • 4 × O-ring

  • 1 × Screwdriver

  • 1 × Hexagon Wrench

  • 1 × User Manual

  • 1 × Warranty Card

  • 1 × FORZ Sticker

.

.

The Deck:

Like I said before, similar to the popular Dead Rabbit deck. It's four raised posts you drop your coil or coils into. Two of the posts are positive and two are negative. The positive ones are gold plated, and the negative posts are plain stainless steel. The grub screws used are of the flat headed variety. You get 4 extra in the box which is nice. I prefer hex head grub screws but it's not a big deal.

.

You can use a single coil, but in my opinion it's better with two. The airflow is directed in a way that makes dual coils vape better.

.

.

The Top cap and barrel:

The top cap has two options for airflow. "Honeycomb" style or an open slot. Both options are positioned high and directed downwards at an angle. The honeycomb style give it a bit of restriction and is really smooth. The open one provides massive airflow. It's an insane amount IMO. I think high wattage/big coil vapers will love this one. I mainly used the honeycomb style. It's a very smooth draw. On the outside it has kind of a notched texture. That makes it easy to adjust or spin it.

Here's the inside of the top cap, and it's domed shape.

I tried to get a picture of the downward pitch of the open airflow. It's really hard to show with it being black. Sorry I didn't wipe it off. If you look at the photo, you can see the downward angle.

.

The barrel section is solid. The whole RDA is really. It's just a solidly constructed RDA. It locks into place but, it can also spin a ways so you can center your airflow towards the coils. Mines black, with the Forz logo appearing in silver on one side. It's engraved somehow probably by a laser.

.

.

Drip tips:

It comes with one of those Hellvape styled drip tips pre installed. It has a bit of a metal ring towards the bottom, but it's mainly delrin I'm assuming. It has a two toned look. I'm not the biggest fan of this style. There's nothing wrong with the dimensions though. It functions well and it's comfortable to use.

.

They included an extra drip tip. I kind of like it. It's taller and red and blue acrylic or resin. It also has a notched pattern like the top cap. It's taller and looks nice but maybe not fitting for a black RDA. It's great they include it though. It also comes with a 510 adapter which is always nice.

.

.

Performance:

First of all I'll say that I'm mainly a single coil RDA fan. I enjoy the simplicity and not having to throw lots of power at my atomizer. This one though, definitely does better with two coils. Having never used a style like this, I'll say that I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

.

I installed the coils that came in the box. They're fused Claptons of some kind (N80 I think). I mainly vape around 50W usually, and tried to use it like that. The honeycomb airflow with one row closed was definitely fitting for a 50W vape. I kept going upwards to see what'd happen with the quality of vape. The flavor got better around 70W. Like I said, surprisingly better. I vaped Dinner Lady Lemon Tart in it and man did it taste great.

.

I tried a larger single coil in it. It vaped nice but the flavor intensity wasn't the same.

.

.

.

Conclusion:

This RDA is pretty good. The airflow being high means you can flood it with a lot of juice. Using the honeycomb airflow helps avoid leaking when tipping it side to side. I mainly used it with the squonk pin. It squonks nice but it really sucks the juice back in. I kind of wish the deck would stay flooded a bit.

.

Vaporesso didn't really create something super original here. It's still a very decent RDA. I've seen it on Chinese sites for under $20. For that price it's worth picking up IMO. It's simple to set up, and it works well. I almost forgot, you can get this RDA in a kit with the Forz TX80 mod. I got it by itself though and enjoyed using it on a squonk mod.

.

Big thank you to Vaporesso for sending this my way, and to anyone who read this review. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer.
