Needing recommendations for a good starter vape (MTL vs DTL?) https://ift.tt/3mxvuM9

I've been using a Juul, but am looking for an upgrade – something I can use my own eliquid with, that hits smoother with bigger clouds. I was recommended the Innokin Endura T18 II a few weeks ago and bought one frome Sourcemore with 5-10 day shipping. It's now about 20 days later and I never received my purchase, last tracking update shows it arriving in my city about 9 days ago. I contacted Sourcemore about it and they've gone from dodging questions to flat out refusing to provide a refund for the vape I bought and never received. I've also been contacting Innokin support trying to get an idea of what kind of eliquids I could use it with, what coils I'd need, how long they'd last etc… And they're ignoring me now. Asked them a few of those questions about a week ago, sent a follow up email a few days ago when I never got a reply, dead silence.

So I'm mad at Sourcemore (and mad at myself for believing the posts I saw saying they were a reliable seller), and turned off to Innokin due to their failure to answer my questions, and some limitations to the product that seem like they wouldn't have been ideal; and needing recommendations for a different vape to purchase, now that I've lost that time and money for nothing.

I'm going to be using the vape primarily for my own homemade eliquid (I've bought VG, PG, VG based nicotine concentrate, and flavorings, so I'll be able to make any type of ejuice I want), and also for CBD MCT oil concentrate. I have a 510 pen battery and I've tried using those carts for the CBD oil but it doesn't seem to work very well. I don't like the harshness and lack of cloud you get from Juuls, or the cost of the pods (I've been circumventing this somewhat by refilling them with my own eliquid, but again – it's a low quality vaping experience) used to have another vape a friend lended to me that I liked a lot more – not sure what brand it was, but it was a box mod with tank, and it hit smooth and created great clouds. I want something like that again.

I'm not coming from smoking cigarettes, in fact I've only ever vaped, so from what I can tell I think sub ohm / DTL would serve my purposes better than MTL type devices? I'm not completely sure though as I don't have a whole lot of experience comparing the two or anything.

TLDR? If anyone can recommend a quality starter kit that would have the flexibility to serve my purposes (cloudy DIY eliquid, so probably more VG heavy, and MCT CBD oil) that'd be highly appreciated. And I'll likely just buy directly from the manufacturer this time instead of going through shitty online Chinese stores.

Edit: Also worth noting, I'm trying to get the best balance of flexibility and function that I can without breaking the bank. As in I don't want to spend more than $50-60 on it or so (the endura was closer to $30). The Kanger subox mini looks like it might be a good option, although it lacks airflow control
