Vapor lock on Subtank Mini https://ift.tt/3heWPBN

Hi, been having an ongoing problem with vapor lock and I'm running out of ideas as to how to solve it. I've tried so many MTL RTA tanks over the years but the best one I keep going back to is my trusty old Subtank Mini. Over the last year or so though I've had a problem where after the first refill of the tank I'm getting really bad vapor lock which only seems to be solved by changing the cotton by rewicking at every refill (which is a PITA).

It's all fine on the first tankfull, but as soon as I refill (and leaving it to soak into the coil), I only get a few good draws before it starts vapor locking and I get a nasty burnt hit. If I cover the airflow holes and give a good suck on the mouthpiece then a big air bubble comes out from the fixing screw on the RBA deck, and all is good for a few more hits until the same happens.

I've tried using more cotton, less cotton, sucking on the mouthpiece while upside down when refixing the bottom deck, nothing seems to solve it other than rewicking every time I refill.

Given the bubbles are coming from the fixing screw and not the juice holes, could it be the seals on the RBA deck?

Using 6-wrap SS316 spaced coil at around 0.5ohms, 17W.
