Strange Question – Vape Tastes Horrible https://ift.tt/3hReeAU
Hey all,
Weird question. I first started vaping in 2017ish, using a friends vape. I liked it so much that in 2018 I bought my own Vaporesso Luxe mod with Skrr tank. I vaped for about 1.5 years, quite heavily, going through a lot of juice, and the only time I didn't like it was when I burnt a coil.
Then slowly I started noticing no matter how many times I changed the coil, (many different power ratings, mesh etc), what juice I used (fruits, tobacco, mint etc), what PG/VG blend or what nic level, they would all taste crap. Like vaping cardboard.
I changed glass, tank, mod, no matter what they all tasted crap.
So I thought maybe I'd ruined my tongue or something from vaping so much, so I cracked it and quit cold turkey, threw the whole lot out.
Didn't vape for about 6-12 months. Then I started picking up a friend's vape every now and again and it was amazing, so decided to buy one. Keep in mind I didn't vape for about 6 months after that, then purchased a Pod System, as I wanted something different to the battery mod, and a bit easier to use.
Straight away, first puff and the thing tastes DISGUSTING. Exact same taste as I had when I quit.Keeping in mind I am very well versed in different coil priming/wicking techniques, and apply liberally.
I can't figure this out. Why would this happen?
Edit: Upon re-reading I understand that this sounds like Vaper's Tongue. However I brush my teeth & tongue regularly (twice a day), don't smoke, and drink easily 3L of water per day. And it can't be flavour fatigue, since I've just restarted after 6-12 months!
