Thanks for all the help! https://ift.tt/3r2rxSj

Hey, I know this will get buried in new, but I really wanted to say thank you to the folks here. I was getting really close to two packs a day ~8 years ago when I made the choice to switch to vaping. It was pretty new in my area at the time and it took some perseverance to stick with it. Shops were few and far between and often offered only a few options at high prices. Devices were evolving almost every day. Over the years I've been happy to see so many people free themselves from tobacco, tar, and untold numbers of carcinogens. I loved cigarettes when I quit for vaping. If it hadn't been for vaping I'm 90% sure I'd still be smoking cigarettes today.

I loved vaping too. I still do in a lot of ways. I think it's the best solution to the still massive number of people addicted to cigarettes. I believe it is a safER alternative to smoking. I don't believe it's safer than nothing, though, so I've recently quit vaping. I believe everyone should wait until they're ready, but don't hesitate when the motivation hits you. It's worth trying, even if it's just for saving money. Even if you fail 20 times.

I got all my advice for devices here and things to avoid, and I never felt like I was steered wrong. You folks keep people safe and knowledgeable about the realities of vaping and how to avoid increasing risk factors. You support those who quit and help people develop plans to lower their nicotine intake. It's easily one of my favorite subs and I imagine I'll stay subscribed for a while just to keep up with this mess governments are making of regulating this market. I believe whole heartedly vaping is the best way to quit smoking. Unequivocally. I stepped down to using nicotine lozenges and I hope to leave those behind soon, as well. I wish everyone health and happiness. Good luck and Godspeed /r/electronic_cigarette you've been good to this humble redditor and I trust you'll continue that work.
