In my opinion the Koko Prime just isn’t worth it. https://ift.tt/3cwoEFz

After owning and loving the original Caliburn, which was sadly lost while moving before the fucking plague descended on Earth again, and replaced by the original Koko I decided the new Koko Prime looked like it could be a great device. Sadly after trying it for the past month I don't find that to be the case.

The new pod with replaceable coils, while a good concept in theory, lasts perhaps half as long as the Koko pods, both with the 1.0 ohm and 0.8 ohm options. I could often get three to four weeks out of the Koko pods (I use a very clean menthol-only juice) but with the new pod/coil combo I was lucky to get a week and a half. The new tip is a major pain in the ass to remove. The dual airflow option is either too loose or too tight. It looks gaudy with the new sideplates. The lanyard is just uncomfortable and itchy compared to the original chain.

I'll still be keeping it as a backup since I have a few coils left, but with a stockpile of pods that could foreseeably last me the remainder of the year for the Koko I'll be swapping back. Of course your mileage may vary if you decide to get it, and it's cheap enough that you won't be too irritated if you decide it isn't for you.

Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
