Looking for a way to fix Lost Vape Mirage battery door… https://ift.tt/3cvkayR

So I've used my Lost Vape Mirage for about 6 months and the battery door went bad. First I disassembled it, the door consists of 2 pieces, glued together with double-sided adhesive tape. I've used the device with 21700 batteries which fit the best in this device, no extender needed to use this type of battery.

After the first disassembly, I tried to glue the 2 pieces together with epoxy, instead of the factory double-sided tape. It was good for a few more months, but the door pin is so strong it bent the closing side of the door…

Now I'm looking for ideas, how could I fix this mod?

One of my thoughts is that I should fill the whole door with epoxy, then drill a small hole somehow in the door itself + the body of Mirage mod. Then maybe I could push a needle in the hole which would hold the door. The flaw of this idea is that I still don't know how would I prevent the needle from falling out. :/

I shot super macro pictures of the mod, you can see some residue of epoxy, that's not dirt (I try to keep my devices clean as possible, but still I'm using them, they are not for display…)
